Another Craft Project: Mirrors!
A little over a year ago I bought 9 mirrors from Ikea for only 1.99 each. I stained the frames and left them outside to dry. Well, I ended up going to girls camp and totally forgot my frames were outside. Generally, that’s not a problem in August here in Utah because we don’t usually get any rain. NOT the case last year. It rained on my frames and ruined them. The wood seperated at the corners making it unsalvagable. However, I refused to throw them away. I just stacked them up and put them in a corner. Yesterday I was bored and decided to do something with my frames. So I cut fabric out to wrap around each frame. I adhered it using a hot glue gun. They’re BEAUTIFUL!! Now I hope it doesn’t take another year to hang them. heehee....

My school closed down for the rest of the week and will be opening up on Tuesday because half the school is sick. So, I got to stay home and twittle my thumbs all day. ACTUALLY, I got a lot done. I baked four loves of bread, went and hung out with Kim (Jon’s 1st cousin Andy’s wife…they just moved into the apartments) and Campbell, her baby. I had so much fun playing with Campbell that I went home and made a stuffed giraffe. I’ve never made one before, but I’d seen them around. I hope it lasts for at least a week. I don’t really know how to sew so don’t look too close. I even drew the pattern myself. That was pretty funny. I was just finishing it up when Jon got home.
