Kids will be kids!

Ok so really funny story! I was at my sisters house over the weekend. While there my nephews decided to do some kind of art work that required colored pictures they cut out of a book, bamboo skewers and elmers glue. When my nephew Noa asked his father for the glue his dad told him he would be responsible if they made a mess with the glue and that he’d be in big trouble regardless of who made the mess. Noa took the responsibility and went into the room with my other nephew Iuli and my neices Tui and Lia. About 30 minutes later they came out and said, “Aunty Berta, come look at our creation!” They were so excited! When I went into Noa’s bedroom my mouth dropped to the floor. You see…kids see things differently then we do. What they thought was a beautiful creation was just a mess to any adult. What they had done was cut pictures out and PASTED them to the walls. I didn’t want to hurt their feelings so I told them it was beautiful. However, I did have to tell their Dad before the glue dried up and ruined the wall. When Mani, Noa’s dad, talked to Noa about the glue Noa said, “but dad I told you I wouldn’t make a mess.” heehee. Even as he was getting in trouble he still didn’t understand why it was such a big deal. He didn’t drop any glue on the floor. He made his room nice and colorful! lol! Anyhow, by the time I got my phone out to take a pic the kids were already taking the pictures down. But I did manage to get a few pics of their “creation”.

I was going thru pictures on my camera and found these. Yes. Rina at her finest! Heeheee. For those who don’t know…Rina is my younger sister. She is #7 of 11. She is a spoiled brat, but one of my best friends. Anyhow, a few days ago she posted a horrible pictue of me on her blog so I promised I would do the same. The only difference is she won’t care about these pictures. That’s Rina for you. She really doesn’t care what people think. I actually admire her for that. I wish I was the same way. I focus way too much on how others perceive me. Rina, I love you! But next time delete your ugly photo shoot before you give my camera back.

LOL @ Carlie…

Carlie Loosle

This is a picture of Jon’s cousin, Carlie Loosle. She is one of my favorite people in the world! She is 20, but has the mind of a child. You can’t tell by this picture, but she is mentally handicapped. Anyhow, earlier this week Jon gave her a ride to our apartment so she could pull some weeds (her Dad owns them). When they got to the aparment he got out of the car with her because he had to show an apartment. Anyhow, when he got out he put his zune (MP3 player) on his seat. Well, when he got back to his car the Zune was gone. He immediately went to Carlie and asked her for his Zune. She said she didn’t have it. He could see that she had something in both her pockets, but she should only have her cel phone. So he reached in her pocket and sure enough he pulled out his Zune. He asked her why she lied and she said she just wanted to listen to music. He then asked why she didn’t ask for permission and so then she said, “well, can I listen to it?”. Of course Jon was like, “NO!” So, long story short she was mad at him and called him a few bad things. Later on that day she handed the following note to Jon.

Letter from Carlie to Jon

“Dear Jon, I’m really sorry that I took your music thing. I’m sorry that I’d called you fat, all those bad words. Carlie.” When Jon showed me this note I was laughing so hard. She really is one of the funniest people you’ll ever meet. Carlie, if you ever read this I want you to know that I love you very much! It’s a blessing to have you in our family!
